*~*~* Rotherham v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

What are we doing... Counter attack then wait for them to come back but we don't move up our own players so in the end we just lump a ball into the penalty area with 2 Sunderland Players and 6 Rotherham... And when we loose the ball we are sitting so deep that they can easily move forward!

Footy by numbers - must have had 90% possession yet Rotherham looked more dangerous. Bring a CF on and tell him just to stand in the middle to stretch their defence when we have the ball wide.

Absolutely lifting that. Actually worse than lifting. We simply can’t come out for the second half with the same line up.
Would have been perfect half to blood Rigg with his urgency and desire to run at the defence -yes he’s very young but he wouldn’t do any worse than some of these -and has a goal in him

Reminds me of the Parkinson days. Similar to the infamous Gillingham away game. So boring and zero energy from any of them. You’d struggle to give any of the midfield or ‘forward’ players more than 3/10

Expecting something to change each match and fuck all is happening. It's actually getting worse. Walking pace, no movement off the ball, no quick little one twos, passing is worse than Sunday League standard.

Fuck it might aswell get 2 of them strikers on the bench on and actually mix it up because this "False 9" no striker shite is absolutely pathetic.

I actually think we need to sub off the two up top, and I never say we need to change it up at HT.

I would take Osheesh and Jobe off and bring on Pritch and Mayenda. Mayenda simply because we need a physical presence in both boxes as they look good from set pieces.

Here man, will he put a striker on. We were crying out for it against Hull and only got the result through Clarke yet again.

We’re attempting passes through the middle but playing without the position whose job it is to run onto said passes? Zero sense man

We clearly prepared a specific plan for that Leeds game, it was evident.

Despite this we’re sat here asking why whatever we’ve been working on isn’t evident tonight.

It’s slow, ponderous side to side football. Scared to play the forward pass, unable to play the forward pass.

Massive hole in the centre of our side, we’re a back four with wingers, there’s nothing else.
That's what is coming across listening to it on bbc
