Drinking in Sunderland City Centre - restored

The regulars are reet characters man. The lass with ne teeth and glasses who always sits by the window once told me she wants bend me cock like Beckham, think I've suffered a form of PTSD since.
I’ve been in this afternoon, very quiet. Hoyed a few Christmas tunes on the jukebox.

Few old blokes that were in knew my mate as she works in the bookies. It stunk of bleach but suppose there are worse stenches 🤣

It's opening back up. They're just not sure when.

Like I've said a few times already Vine Place is a decaying shithole atm. After Derby Day weekend alot of bars are going to be wondering how to stay sustainable.
.
Botanist has the right idea not opening til 5th February. After Jan 7th you're more likely to see tumbleweed than actual people for the next 3-4 weeks.
.
My place is unsure whether to open up on Boxing Day, there's Black Eye Friday, all the sports on the 23rd, New Years Eve then derby day weekend. As mad as it sounds not opening on Boxing day there's also common sense as people just can't afford it anymore.

Decided to head across early on Saturday for the match and have a few pre match beers in town.

Thinking about a spot of breakfast somewhere about 10 and then on the beers anyone got any suggestions

Haven’t been in Sunderland centre for donkeys as drink near the ground on match days.
