William Storey

eh? ive never bought a club.
Storey is subject to an insolvency proceeding-so cant take over a club-he probably will be barred from being a director of any business in the UK.
The shef weds owner has been incompetent-but he has spent fortunes on the club and continues to fund it every day.

The Orange ones compare favourably to the mint ones imo.

Yet another tool given a platform. He already got into F1.
If he keeps getting airtime there's a risk he'll get into a club and ruin them....Has the not remotely fit and proper fit and proper persons test been updated yet?

He simply doesn't have the funds to get even to the stage of where the f FA check see if he is fit & proper why he's failed or pulled ot of the running to buy a club

Fair point. Ironically pound signs seems to be the only thing that actually matters in the test so there is a failsafe beyond him wasting endless time. Looks like the Reading owners might have engaged with a known fantasist though as Delboy and Rodders did with Mark Campbell for us. Embarrassing.

no. the test is automatically failed if one has been involved in a recent corproate insolvency..storey has been.so cant pass the test. He already knows he cant pass it-thats why its so ludicrous he comes on talking aabout buying clubs.
When its put to him he would fail it-he sayd he wont be a directpr and is acting on behaf of investors-but he has the plan-thats possibe to be interpreted as acting as a shadow director-which is a criminal offence in the United Kingdom.
Thats why he pulled out-Lionel Hutz or whatever lawyer he can afford has explained these facts to him.

Seems to me that he keeps announcing these potential deals in the hope that people actually wishing to join his team of “investors” get in touch with him.
Alas, when that doesn’t happen and his list of investors is an empty page, he has no option but to back out.

The product might be him?
It's been very badly marketed if it is, aside from looking delusional at best I've no idea what he is supposed to be as a product?

A decent possible reason for his behaviour actually, nothing else besides the dreamer/fantasist type makes sense to me regarding him.

yes I think this happens quite a bit-the problem becomes-the more frequently you dont get a deal-the less credible you look in future so have less chance of investors coming aboard for the next one.
Also, he is delusional if he thinks, as presider over of so many failed companies-and with so much nonsense he has spoken

Yeah I dont think he has to worry too much about losing credibility somehow.

Good god Reading must be so fucked.

It bad times when even Billy Story is turning his nose up at you

That's a good example of exactly the sort of damage that an idiot like Storey can do to a business. Reading is not in good shape but anyone who was uninformed enough to believe Storey was in any sort of position to buy the club might just believe that he pulled out because Reading is on the brink of total collapse thereby discouraging the interest of possible buyers.

I recall that a few weeks ago Reading's owners denied that Storey had any deal at all to buy the Club. Indeed he had previously made a similar claim in the case of SAFC and Coventry City both of which also immediately denied that they had entered in to any agreement at all with him.

The guy isn't funny he's risking people's jobs.
