Southgate on Henderson

'I pick the best players to play for England. I don't think it's right too not select Jordan because he's previously taken a stance on LGBT rights and now plays in Saudi Arabia, and I don't think its right to boo him.

I pick players to try and win each football match. If I picked based on a popularity contest, the team might look very different.'

Actual words, that left his face...there's some tremendous irony in that last bit as well 😀
Henderson and Southgate’s comments suggest they are intellectually dumb. Their pathetic rhetoric trying to defend their corners is actually offensive in essence. Self righteous Henderson chose his money laden path to play football in a murderous state and needs to accept the justified criticism that comes his way. Southgate, as England manager, should be ashamed of his response.

Totally and utterly wrong Kongy - you let your cynicism blind you to the truth - Hendo only went to SA to make football better - he said so today - and who can doubt his words.
I wonder why Hendo chose Saudi Arabia out of all the countries where football is shite in a bid to make it better? He could have gone to Canada or New Zealand where they are shite at football but love the gays. Rather than Saudi where homosexuality is seen as an abomination punishable by death. It's almost as if he's talking complete and utter horseshit again.

Interview just now adds absolutely nothing to what was said before.
I think he knows by now though. There's no getting away from it.

At least he admits he went mostly for the money now though.

He admits he's playing at a much lower level then when asked if he worries that it may keep him out of the squad he says he will keep an eye on it.
What's he gonna do like 🤷‍♀️😂

He's a complete hypocrite. So it's ok for players to have a voice but not the fans is what they are saying.

“Impossible to understand” eh Gareth?
All week there has been talk whether the arch should be lit up and of a minutes silence etc due to terrorist attacks.

Henderson’s employers are the biggest terror financiers of the last 30 years. They have also allegedly been gunning down Ethiopian asylum seekers on their borders.

It’s a disgrace he’s anywhere near representing our national team, never mind captaining it on a week such as this. Vile
Bloke is pretty much playing non league footy now, as a poster boy for a misogynistic, racist regime.

You need to give up lad. You are not appearing bright at all.
Has he ever sounded bright ?
He became the mouthpiece and chief poster boy of the Premier League because :-
1. He was one of few English captains in the League.
2. Harry Maquire seems and even sounded thicker.
3. He acknowledged the NHS and seemed to support LGBT rights.
4. He played for one of the top teams i.e. not Palace, Brentford or Fulham.
