If the last few weeks have shown us anything it’s that our main weakness squad wise is in the middle of the park. Letting Evans and Matete go without another coming in leaves us so light, one injury and we’re struggling again

I think it’ll be two out in Evans and Matete and one in for centre midfield. I reckon Embleton will probably go too if he’s fit.

If anyone has an issue with age... bear in mind there are many older players playing in the premier league. Similar age would be Trippier, Michail Antonio, Kyle Walker etc. No issue with bringing in an experienced DM. Would have been ideal to bring on Saturday.

I wouldn’t say they’d necessarily miss out but we definitely need another body in midfield. We’ve got Ekwah coming back from injury and Neil suspended. No doubt we will see more injuries and suspensions as the season goes on.

His experience could be vital and if he’s half the player he was when we initially had him then he could certainly do a job in this league.
