Maybe? My memory was he had hassle at his property but could well be wrong.Wasn't the axe thing him smashing up his apartment. I don't think there was anyone else there when it happened, so not sure where the defending himself comes in, if memory serves - he was pissed off about something, so took an axe to his apartment. He later joked about his winning a fight if there was a Russian with a gun and him with an axe.

He's the same age as Evans who we are massively missingNo no no not this again too old forget him.
We could do with him really for some experience in the middle in key games. We miss Evans at times and can't see him really playing this yearYou must be logged on to see external linkshave done a bit on him still being a free agent and say we did inquire about him during the summer.
Probably for the best. Imagine if he'd been playing when one of the tackles on Clarke went in...You must be logged on to see external linkshave done a bit on him still being a free agent and say we did inquire about him during the summer.
I still think we missed out not doing it, we were obviously going to regret the window closing and only having Neil and Ekwah in the middle for a good while.Had we been able to get him in for the money potentially saved on Pritch and Dack I reckon we would have won the league.
Would have remedied all of our issues in an instant... squad balance, experience, ability, class, determination, sheer will to win and lack of sexy pirates.

We did try and get that Crespo really late on in the window but the lack of urgency for that position was definitely weird. There's some thinking there that I do not understand, to go so many deep in the cam role whilst having no one to play deeper than the two we don't have cover for seems very odd.
Maybe it's just a case that they weren't available at the time? Yann supposedly wanted Saudi, but there were great options in Scandinavia imo.
Great footballer and I would have been very happy to sign him as an Evans upgrade but I genuinely think Neil, Ekwah and Jobe would be ahead of him so he’d need to accept very reasonable wages. I think Evans will go in January if he’s fit enough and wouldn’t be surprised if Embleton and Matete did too so I’d expect at least one midfielder to come in.

Excellent post, correct and funny: 10/10Had we been able to get him in for the money potentially saved on Pritch and Dack I reckon we would have won the league.
