Southgate on Henderson

From the man who portrayed himself as the most virtuous person in the country not long back.

He's a bit of a cretin isn't he.

Because there's a world outside of football - not entirely his fault but obviously lives in a bit of a bubble world.

It’s a bit weird when you think about it. Southgate had already started to drop him and froth over a pairing of Rice and Phillips. Then we have Bellingham. JWP gets ignored when he is capable to play, especially in fixtures like tonight.

Why Southgate has selected Henderson after he “quit” competitive football and double downed on him, is anyone’s guess.

Weird, as I said. Or 💰
It's very, very obvious why he was booed. If Henderson had moved to Brighton or Palace or Forest or Sunderland, he wouldn't be getting booed but he chose money over morals.
Thing is though. Had he moved to us, he’d have been dropped from the International side who own the Premier League. Saudi Arabia and his 9000 fans is and will always be, good enough standard for Gareth to pick him.

No guessing probably on a 💰 promise already to move

I don't think I'm alone in thinking he doesn't deserve a place on merit but I reckon a lot of today's boo boys would be cheering if he was playing out of skin.

He will never ever play out of his skin again, while he is playing his football over there. So the boo boys are absolutely right and knew they could do so with no chance of it backfiring (to your reason)

My opinion obv, but I don't think he'd play any better while sitting on Liverpool's bench where he'd be spending most his time if he'd stayed there. Mind, he was still far better than Gallagher who'll never be as good as Henderson past his best. How many boos for that selection?

It does make me wonder whether Southgate would've picked him if he somehow ended up at Sunderland this season.
He wouldn’t have. Wouldn’t be a competitive level

He’d be training with a group of players worlds apart from who he currently is, for a start.

 Am sorry mate but can’t believe I’ve even started making a conversation with you, on that comparison.
