It's fuckkin simple to sort.
The VAR team get an on-screen message saying what the ref has given. Then they check it and either confirm it or ask the ref to take another look.
 
The assistant VAR Dan Cook is the biggest culprit.

He was asked the onfield decision was an offside, which is an incorrect call, are you happy with this?
He answered yes.

The laws of the game state state once the game is replayed it can't be rewound, so anything said after that is irrelevant.

VAR have to intervene if they feel the on field referee has made a mistake.

Offside decision, handball, fouls, whatever. If referee blows for handball and VAR reckons it hit the upper chest, they're obliged to get involved.

The only bloke who's coming out of that audio is the replay operator, he was clear and precise. But his 2 VAR colleagues you could mistake for Harry and Marv from Home Alone.

Im confused as to why the linesman puts his flag up? If thats tight like that just give the benefit to the striker then if they score let VAR check

They are supposed to once the goal has been scored if they think it was offside. I presume in case VAR fails

Dear me. That is an absolute shambles.
I don’t see why they can’t stop it and give the gaol mind, I’ve seen penalties awarded after the ball has has back in play for about a minute.

No, the linesman should give what he thinks. You don't not put your flag up because you know VAR is there to fall back on. This is why they now delay their decision if they think it's off.
