Premier Concourse

For me West stand in general is freezing cos it gets very little natural sunlight, that’s why folk in the east stand wear sunglasses or caps. I know some lads who moved west to east for that reason, said they’d rather squint than freeze.
im in the west stand by the way and it’s never warm even on a warm day

What’s the concourse area itself like. From recollection, it’s nicer than downstairs and I have been up there a couple of times, but I can’t recall. Any pics?

Liked it there me. Much better view of the game than anywhere else and if you fancied a pint at half time the queues were better managed and you'd usually have it bought and drank during the break.

To be fair the speed of service has improved dramatically in the east stand lately and I can get a drink and drink it in halftime break...never been able to do that before

I hadn't really thought about it until it got mentioned and I've only been there once but that was early season. It may be that the concourse doesn't get a lot of shelter because its higher up. Guess I'll try it and see, you get a great view from there.
Genuinely think my seat in the middle of the north stand is twice as cold as me brothers in the SWC. Always feel a big difference if I’m down there or he mentions it when he sees us in the North

That's my experience of it as well. If you can get a decent seat towards the front and quite central the view is good (although don't expect any atmosphere) but towards the back you feel a bit detached from the whole occasion I find. I'd only every go up there now as a last resort tbh.
You should try the press box mate. You've got a panel above your head for the oxygen mask to fall out when it's needed.

Is there no lift in prem concourse?
yes there is but you access it through the main entrance

years ago i took my father-in-law to a game, and bought him a sea next to mine in the PC. after buying the ticket, i enquired about a lift to the club, as he was elderly, wasn't too good on his feet and had a dodgy heart.

the club sent me an email, giving me permission to use the lifts, which you access from the main entrance, up to the hospitality suites

Used to go up there (Front Row - NW Corner….the view was superb).
Couldn’t even attempt it now due to the amount of steps! 😲

Ok thanks

Looking to come to boro game and sit there with my grandad. Do you think we should email the club first to enquire about using the lift before purchasing the tickets?

Yes, it was a while since I did it, and I can't remember whether it was the safety officer paul weir, or chris waters who organised it. I think it was paul weir

I used to have my ST up there then moved to the south stand when it became that. The view is top notch but there was little-no atmosphere
