We 'stood by him' because he's a quality striker not because we were doing him a favour, we didn't offer him the going rate for a good championship striker and are more than happy to take the money for him to leave which I can't really blame either side at this point.
 
If he’s getting £25k a week for 4 years that’s a £5m commitment.

I think we’ll regret selling but you can almost understand why we were unwilling to offer that to an injured player.

We‘re going to have a job keeping roberts and Clarke on board now too I suspect.
