He deserves to be paid what he is worth. He’s 27 and likely been paid a relative pittance given he’s spent his career in Scotland and here. There are far inferior players than him who will be on way more money.

Gutted personally, more so the way he's went out. Being injured for 8 months, easily could have pulled it off if he'd stayed fit. At the very least you'd imagine we'd be getting more money for him

Maybe just maybe the Club decided the offer was too good to turn down for a player in the final year of his contract who last season managed only 13 games in a 46 game season...disappointing of course it is but I suppose what we do with the money before this window shuts will have a massive bearing on whether or not Sunderland have done good business
