Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

It clearly means player A is an expert at winning penalties which is a skill in itself - the most penalties won in the Championship last season was 8 (Boro and Reading). If this chap is scoring almost twice as many penalties as the team awarded the most penalties in the league then he’s probably worth signing!
No it doesn't. He might have personally won none of those penalties. In fact, he might even have been subbed on just to take those penalties.

In this current market he should be 12+ but never happen.

I’m bored of it all now. The whole thing. Going to take a monster of a signing to fix this window.
Club should never have got into this position really. Though if we got 8 million then Stewart breaks down in November with another bad injury then people would call it shrewd. All a bit chaotic really.

By the way i love how when we have money (historically or relatively in L1) it's always a case of "the other team know how much we have and will pull our pants down". However no one is talking in this case about how Southampton have a ridiculous amount of cash from sales, therefore should we not be "having their pants down" with it being so close to deadline?

I think 8m upfront with addons would be fantastic value, and i adore LND.

It is, and it’s clear that the club has zero money to afford anyone of note on the bench. I won’t be looking out for his performances elsewhere or clapping him though. A perfect storm of f***ing annoyance.

I think at this point, most fans would have taken 4m for an injured player running down his contract, i for 1 am sick of hearing about him. Anothwr player thats forgot where hes came from and using us as a stepping stone.

Keef (sick in my mouth) says we rejected 4m+ yesterday and their current bid is 6m + 1.5m in add ons...

For what we paid, im happy with that offer and happy the club didn't just rollover and take 4m. Take it and move on.

That kind of money is peanuts to a club like Southampton who have a long history of signing and selling players for prices that dwarf the £8m plus add-ons (whatever that is). They won’t blink at that price yet that could get us one or two quality players. Nor will they lose a wink of sleep. We can name a price and they will pay it.

I don’t know why the valuations of our players don’t seem to be as ott as elsewhere. Given the fees for Piroe etc I think Clarke should be around the 20m mark, Stewart 12+ etc.

It just always seems to be a lowball offer when we are the selling club. If Saints want him, have their eyes out.
