From memory I think it was he signed a 6 year deal with no release clause. Grealish went around the same time but had the release clause built in by a proper agent

He's running out of time, tbh. He's 30, not 26. Next summer he's out of contract, but next summer he's 31. He's running out of seasons in which to go and actually compete for meaningful trophies.
He doesn't need the money, he's got (and would get if he moved now) plenty of money. He'd also get a longer contract if he went now.

If he stays he’s going to have the choice of every club going next summer - bar Bayern if he’s pissed them off here.
The only ones who miss out in this case are Tottenham, especially since they don’t win anything or get top 4 with Kane in the team.
