Stewart leaving is not news.

Any SAFC with any sense of realism knows it's just a matter of time.

Hemir hasn't turned down Brighton to sit on our bench and the likes of Frigan at £5m+ aren't going to be targeted to play second fiddle to Stewart.

The club are already actively recruiting his replacement with the money.

I think we expected this anyway. Shame to lose him but at the end of the day he's only played 13 games at this level and we made it to the play offs without him.

But thinking about who might be interested in him - and imagining who he may be interested in - I’m not seeing a tonne of natural landing spots right now. If he has the season we all expect him to next year, he’ll have far more options - and will only be 23.
