Wrestling - Part 3

Keep the Samaritans number saved for when the college football and NHL starts, I don't think you'll be able to cope very well. If you're mentally outraged in July fuck knows what state you're gonna be in October.
I’ll be enjoying my wrestling and not paying attention to ratings because I’m not a mug that thinks ratings equates to a good show, you must be a barrel of laughs at a party, “OMG guys did you see Coronation Street beat Emmerdale by 300k and 0.46”

Not sure why some are so entrenched in their beliefs, this “one company is bette” thing is bollocks, it’s possible to enjoy both

I enjoy elements from both, Ive posted that on ere. FTR/Jay and Juice is my favorite match I've seen this year for the record. Didn't think I'd enjoy Bullet Club Gold when they first came in but they've both been class!

I have no problem with people enjoying any show they like, I’ve said countless times enjoy what you enjoy, be it WWE, Impact, AEW, NJPW, AAA, CMLL, NOAH, GCW, Defy, Revpro, Old school shit from the 90s,80s so forth, any bastard indie.

Problem is people don’t understand there are countless version and styles of wrestling, not everything can be for everybody but it’s still a style of wrestling and the second they don’t like it all they do is complain instead of just stopping.

Fair points, now shake hands

Me and @Whey are sound man (I think anyways I have no problem with him😂) we have vastly different views but that’s life.

He’s even in the Bang Bang Gang now man.
Absolutely no bother at all with anyone in this ere "group" or "thread".

Aye, they're quickly becoming my favorite tag team them two. Juice is well good!

It was after the show 😂 calm down

It's all over the internet now too. And was done in front of a live crowd.

Amazes me that in a company that just put on probably the best pure wrestling TV show we've seen in years in last Saturday's Collision also allows some of the most unprofessional shit that has ever been seen in the wrestling business to occur. I just don't get it.

I agree with this. As I've stated on here, there's things I like and are undeniably good in aew but then stuff like this is done and it's bush league. I don't think Ibushi is signed there either. Knacker imo.

I mean stuff like this has happened for years though, I don’t see why people care, we all know wrestling is a pre determined, smoke and mirrors show.

Bray Wyatt apparently was set on fire on live tv 😂 terrible, Rey Mysterio had his eyes ripped out on live tv and then was fine a month later

I just see it as Ibushi is a hard bastard, which he is.
.
Just to add and I can’t believe I forgot about this I seen Zombies eat The Miz and John Morrison (aye it’s as ridiculous as it sounds) and then turn up a week or two later like nowt happened 😂

At least the HHH one was funny. The Ibushi bump serves no purpose whatsoever.

Yeah and all that's a load of shit too.

Wrestling is at its best when it's presented like a competitive sport. If you showed someone who has never watched wrestling last Saturday's episode of Collision I imagine they wouldn't know that it was fake.

Problem is that for 95% of the time wrestling is fake as shit, childish and not entertaining. AEW are the absolute worst for it but WWE aren't much better. Although what WWE are doing right now is clearly working as ratings are going up - people are loving the Bloodline in particular. AEW haemorrhage viewers and haven't grown their audience and it's fairly easy to see why, because it caters to fans like you who lap it all up even when it's obviously shit.

I only watch wrestling now when someone I trust recommends something to me, and that doesn't happen all that often these days.

🤷‍♂️ he thought he’d do it after the show finished to have a laugh with his mate, who cares, it doesn’t harm anyone.
It harms anyone doing it in a match after this and he did it Infront of a crowd. Fair dos fuck about behind the scenes but there's still folk there who've just watched wrestlers land in the stuff. Imo it's a right bollock to drop and shows he doesn't give two shites about the crowd.

Was it Ibushi who wrestled a blow up doll in front of a live crowd or am I thinking of someone else?

You’ve completely missed my point, every single thing I posted was shite you’re right but we are way past anything being realistic in wrestling, you’d have to go back to the 70s for that, I forgot how real having a bloodline court session in the middle of a ring In front of 5 year old kids is realistic… or a man shooting lighting out of his hands

Sigh ratings again and yet they are getting a new tv deal, must be doing terrible because the geeks who follow ratings in the internet know better than WBD

“it caters to you” I’m shocked that someone could like something different to somebody else, if it’s obviously shit why are you watching? Absolutely mental

Tbf, mate he's not and he's stated why. I pick and chose what I want to see now aswell because I can't get through the daft stuff and there is a lot of that on both WWE and AEW, there's just seemingly a lot more on AEW.

He said he watched the tag match so just assumed he watches

Either way I’m not arsed enough, I think it’s mental people are getting so worked up over a tack bump after a show that was caught on a fans camera who was probably drunk and thought it was great, if anything people should be complaining about that dance off that was actually on the show but that’s just me I guess 😂, Ratings talk however is the saddest shite,

like I said before I don’t see people comparing ratings between Emmerdale and Corra or the Sunderland game to the Newcastle game etc

I said in my post, I watch stuff when people I trust recommend it. My mate said Collision was up my alley so I watched it, and it was. The entire show start to finish was brilliant and in my opinion it was the best episode of television that AEW have ever produced.

Which is why I get so disappointed when you see stuff like that Ibushi video, or the stuff that makes it to TV like that Moxley v Ishii match the other week which is probably the worst match I’ve ever seen involving a main eventer in AEW.

The potential for AEW to be brilliant is there. They have the resources to put on shows like that Collision episode every single week. So you have to ask yourself… knowing their TV ratings are down, knowing that their live crowd ticket sales are poor at the minute, why aren’t they offering up a product more like the one we saw last Saturday more often?

As a wrestling fan it frustrates me so much.

And for balance I also don’t watch WWE unless someone recommends me something, though I make a point to watch the weekly Bloodline segments on youtube because they’re genuinely brilliant.
