Forthcoming gigs.

Just back in the hotel from Blur at Wembley. Brilliant gig, Parklife, Tender and This is a low the highlights for me.
* Oh and Coffee and TV....and I'll probably say a few more tomorrow. Class.
Same. They were fantastic. I was quite overwhelmed by the whole experience (and I think Damon was a bit overwhelmed by it too). I'd have seriously considered scrambling for a ticket for Sunday to do it all again...if I wasn't heading up to Scarborough for Pulp 😎.

I think Damon had the night of his life. They were tremendous like and he was in fine voice. Agree with all said before and I thought the light show for The Universal was pretty emotional.

How’d you get through so many bands? You’ve named 17 there. Even taking out pissing, going to the bar, moving between stages you’ve got about 2 days worth of sets there.
Not full sets, some of them I only saw 15 mins or so as they clashed.

I didn't go to the bar at all because I don't drink at gigs.

Saturday I saw: Cassia, Brooke Combe, The Mary Wallopers, Heidi Curtis, Inhaler, The Coronas, Teddy Swims, Afflecks Palace, Aitch, Kasabian and Sam Fender.

Going to see Machine Gun Kelly next Wednesday.

Not my thing especially. Hope his lass is there
Are they together still? I've always found him a bit cringe like, he's definitely different like and can't knock his game having pulled a few corkers.
Got Tom grenann next week for his launch party gig at the boiler room. Stumbled into some of his songs and having seen him live earlier this year he became a guilty pleasure of mine. Seems like a decent lad too.

It was, still buzzing off it.

Made no difference to our enjoyment at all but I thought the support was ropey last night. If it was them again I'd have suggested arriving on time for Blur only. But Weller tonight should be decent so worth getting in for that I would say.
A mate came back to a party I was at last night after the gig and he only watched blur..

I'll be there from about 5 tonight... Might catch selector but deffo Weller before blur . Schedule is earlier tonight cos I think Sunday night curfew at wembley

I have one spare ticket to get shot of if anyone wants it

Slalom D and Derek Forbes & the dark have been added to the line-up.
Pete Wylie not playing is disappointing as well.
Do you know owt about these?

I found their name and a date written on a scrap of paper in me wallet after a neet out. Very mysterious. Google telt us they're a band, and they're playing the fans museum

Slalom D are a very good local punk band, seen them a couple of times. Derek Forbes was bass player in Simple Minds between 1978 and 1985, also played in quite a few other bands and a bit solo stuff, never seen him but heard hes very good.

Having checked the date now im at deershed that weekend but theyre playing at the fans museum on 28th july.

That's what we did, got there around 8 ish as I'd never heard of any the support acts so weren't arsed about watching them. How good were Blur though!! 🤩

James last night were absolutely brilliant @Sandboy
Didn’t see all of Tom A Smith as he started earlier than I thought but what I did see was excellent. He is gonna go far. Jamie Webster was good but impending thunderstorms meant he had to cut his set short but Tim bought him on for the first James song which was lovely.

Halfway through James set tho they were forced off because they’re not allowed on stage when there’s a thunderstorm about. We all got drenched then they came back on, ditched the set list and just went for it. Marvellous.

Piece Hall is an amazing venue but stone is not meant for dancing on. My knees are fucked.

Aye the support was poor IMO, we got into Wembley just after 5 as we were in the club wembley seats. Had bait and a few pints in one of the bars and the music was class, all Britpop era, said to my lass loads of the bands being played would surely have been up for supporting them, Bluetones, Pulp, OCS...1 old school band at least...we just stayed there until Blur 😂

Never seen them personally, but keep meaning to. They’ve played Sunday gigs in the Vaults & stuff.
