T20 :: Durham v Leicestershire


My oldest has started all stars cricket at Esh Winning and through that I bought a discounted T20 season ticket for Durham. Absolutely loving every game so far. Disappointing today and hope we can improve on Tues night. I'll probably put a odd holiday in at work to watch some red ball too. Really impressed with Raines bowling and not so impressed with de leede so far.

tbh, I didn't ask. I saw chicken gyros and thought 'that's the very fella for me'

I've only ever seen them at the T20's. They were there last year too

I'm still waiting for the impeccable pig to re-appear. They have a sign on the side of the media centre, but never seem to be there anymore. They did the best burgers... real ones..... home made..... rolled in herbs and with salad and pickles too. I've only ever seen them there once.

Long time since I've seen the Impeccable Pig at the ground - almost as long as the short lived appearance of the Stotty Co.

Lets be honest we have had much stronger starting XIs than this and not been any better in the past 20 years.
I can only think of Trevaskis of the proven t20 performers from the past few years who hasn't put a performance in yet. But when he has played for the 2nds he has looked a class above the other players.
Just watched the head coaches post match interview and he mentioned the bowling in the power play not being good enough. Also looked like he was off to a Stone Roses gig tonight.

Then instead of continuing with Sowter we put Trev back on to hand all the momentum back to the batters again. Not sure what's happened with Trev this year. He seems a mile off where he was over the last couple of seasons

Aforementioned Greek
Pizzas
Hog roast (including burgers and chips)
Another burger van
Donuts
Scampi and fish fingers

Also food in the Sticky Wicket. The full English is decent and is good value.

Also generally decent grub in the members lounge. They now do Dicksons pies as well as sandwiches and full lunch if that’s your sort of thing.

I’ve often fancied a pint from those fancy trailers behind the country Durham stand but they’re eye watering £6-8 quid! Wouldn’t mind if they didn’t use generic plastic cups and charge so much!
