9 million less the fee we paid for him and any Spurs sell on clauseAgain, im not on about what he's worth. £9m in the bank to any club in this league is massive money.

UnderstoodHe was playing for us?
I'm confused tbh
He was in the middle of scoring 25 goals for the season that's 10 more than he's scored before, or since
You do not
Edit: Lads, the 'he' in my original comment was Wyke. We signed Stewart when he (wyke) was in the middle of an historic season.
Anything under £20m should be rejected. Especially when you see what Joao Pedro went for.9 million less the fee we paid for him and any Spurs sell on clause
You just said £9 million was massive?Anything under £20m should be rejected. Especially when you see what Joao Pedro went for.
As a chunk of money in the bank for a Championship club it is. As a fee for Clarke it isnt. It's good to see we've got ourselves into a position where a £9m bid for a player can be laughed at.You just said £9 million was massive?
9 million is great but we should reject anything below 20 million. Are you part of a split personality? As a chunk of money in the bank for a Championship club it is. As a fee for Clarke it isnt. It's good to see we've got ourselves into a position where a £9m bid for a player can be laughed at.
No mate, i'm not. £9m to a club in the Championship is massive money. It doesnt matter where that £9m came from and whether it's spent on players or day to day running of the club. Especially if you believe what you read on here and we havent got a pot to piss in. £9m as a fee for Clarke with 20+ goal contributions is paltry when we could get double if not more.9 million is great but we should reject anything below 20 million. Are you part of a split personality?
NoWould anyone swap Amad for Clarke?
The risk for Clarke as far as Brentford go is to look back a year. Lewis-Potter was coming off the back of a very good Championship season, went for a big fee then hasn't had a look in.
Was gonna say the same. Obviously it's just words, but he seemed like he'd rather be playing then not. Obviously he's not gonna turn down a huge wage increase - but if we can give him that then he'll probably not want to move (you'd hope)You only have to listen to his interview on the podcast he's not daft, he's going nowhere he's not going to be matchday squad and has no interest in going to a club he'll be loaned out.
I’m not sure players think like that. 22 and off the back of a great season I’d imagine most professional footballers would want to try themselves at the highest level they can achieve and back themselves to get a place in the team.
We also shouldn’t forget the attraction of money and London, not just about the football.. He will be on less than 10k a week here. If he goes to Brentford for 20 he will get a massive signing on fee and be on 50k a week plus I’d imagine being the average premier league salary these days. Young lads ultimately will be motivated by money as well and we can never get near it whilst a non premier league club.
He hated LONDON ,he is home both here and fulford in york.As long as we give him a decent offer he will stay and by all accounts the club are sorting it now.I’m not sure players think like that. 22 and off the back of a great season I’d imagine most professional footballers would want to try themselves at the highest level they can achieve and back themselves to get a place in the team.

If he can get a 4 year contract at a premier league club on hugely inflated wages he’s made for life of course he’s going to go!
He could regress next season with us and never be in the same negotiation position again.
Fingers crossed mate. He even mentioned Roberts felt the same. Was gonna say the same. Obviously it's just words, but he seemed like he'd rather be playing then not.
