Bid rejected for Clarke

We'd make around 3m profit in total once Spurs get their share.

There's really no discussion to be had until an offer hits around the 20m mark as a starting point.

Dear me!

Whatever pal, go find that dummy you threw out earlier 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Haven't thrown any dummy out "pal"

I said in an earlier thread Clarke was the most likely player to leave the club this summer. I don’t believe any formal bid has been received, if the lad does go, (every player has a price) although he is very happy at the club, the club would not sell him for a penny less than £18m to £20m.

Good. Exactly the sort of minimum price I’d have valued him at.

£9m is a pitiful insult.

plays in a league clarke failed in..

He didn't play a single game in the PL for Spurs. They signed him as an 18 year old into a squad packed with attacking players covering the same position. Its not particularly his fault that they didn't give him a chance ahead of others that were doing the business for them. To call him a failure at the level is daft

To be honest, unless the lad kicks up a fuss, I can’t really see it happening. I think that price is too much of a gamble and anything less ain’t worth our while.

Think it's incentives if we get to the prem

From what I seen, it was just a bog standard sell on fee along either the 3m we paid for him, I didn't see any clauses about them Prem, only in Michuts case.

Either way, it's still a piss poor profit innit.

£18-20m is what I was thinking would be a decent price

Good thing is, we don't need to sell. The ball is firmly in our court.

We either keep him or he could easily bring the biggest fee the club has ever got for a player.

How's that?
Oh yeah we can reject any bid unless there's an a release clause. If Clarke wants to move then that's a problem. We don't want to keep someone who doesn't want to be here.

I'm hopeful he would want to try and get promoted with us and build this team rather than g to a bottom half prem team.
