Whisky

I suspect the SB 24yo Festival bottle will still be available to buy post festival. It’s not terrible but there’s some soapiness on the finish. I certainly won’t be buying more than one. The Longrow and Hazelburn are good though.
I didn't bother going down, will be tomorrow like, you about?

Just opened that Whisky Barrel 15 year old Highland Park…well worth the £55 ( noticed now £90) as @shakerman suggested possibly misspriced ?

Looking at their site and a few of their WB exclusives seem worth a look
Good to hear I bagged two.
I'll get one uncorked when a slot on the opened shelf comes up.

I’m in and out of tastings all day bud. I’m also having dinner with some of the guys behind WhiskyNerds before they fly back to the Netherlands.

If you’re buying any festival bottles get the Kilkerran - best of the lot imo and the best KK I’ve tried minus the Taiwan 15yo Madeira.

It’s something they regularly do. As the stock dwindles the price swiftly escalates.

I'm a bit of an amateur peaty whisky lover but not really stepped outside the mainstream - probably due to being tight.

Is the Longrow recommended as a standard bottle or any special edition?

It’s difficult to get hold of most Springbank releases except Kilkerran 12 which is certainly some worth trying. Ledaig, Ballechin, Ardmore, Ruadh Mhor and most Islay whiskies are all worth a try.

Most of the The English Whisky Co releases are peated too and worth exploring. Alternatively some blends such as Big Peat and Smokehead can be very decent.

I've just finished a bottle of Ardmore and enjoyed it.

Will slip one of those names on the borthday list for their lass (no)
