When they messed around with Black cats bar it took some seats off actual capacity, can't remember what year that wasYet our record attendance at the SoL is 48,353 vs Liverpool so not sure you're correct there.
P17 and P19 @ca8msm
And the mags being relegated

Aye I mentioned the media bit at the back of the Premier Concourse which took about five rows of seats out about 5 blocks wide as wellHad to build some new shit for the premier league media requirements which removed a few seats
They will expand when it comes to thatI know I was mocked earlier in the thread about expanding the stadium but we need to seriously consider it. I don't mean going up to the max 83k ish, 63/64k would do it. We're easily selling out with very little success in the championship. Imagine if we were pushing for Europe in the PL....our ground would be too small.
We've the 8th biggest capacity in England but that will be 10th when Everton and Chelsea increase theirs.
When SoL was expanded to 49k in 2000 we were in the top 3 or 4. If we're serious about competing at the top, we need a bigger ground.
48,707 nowIt's set by council each year and this years is that, not sure what council did back then but 49k was capacity?
Thermal socks, merino wool long johns, long sleeved thermal top back to front (protects the front of the neck)tuck into long johns, end first layer, second layer, pair of long socks over 1st long johns, 2nd pair long john, 2nd thermal top tuck into 2nd long johns, pair of fleece lined wind proof trousers, replica top, big wind proof coat, scarf, battery powered heated gloves, furry hat with ear flaps, flask, blanket.I think I'm still thawing out from that game, was baltic with the wind chill added in![]()
this. FTMI'd forgot about that, but if you don't mind, "And the night we relegated the Mags".
63k is the max expansion available without major surgery.I know I was mocked earlier in the thread about expanding the stadium but we need to seriously consider it. What a year, gone from having part of the stadium mothballed to talking about extending.I know I was mocked earlier in the thread about expanding the stadium but we need to seriously consider it. The thing is the extension of the SWC and SS would only replicate what’s at the north end and they’re pretty crap seats no one wants. Would have been better to do the east stand first. Better seats and would have given loads of extra room for bars etc. even if they didn’t want to make it corporate like the west side it would have given the stadium a more even feel. The would only expand above the south stand and south west corner first. Which would expand capacity to 55,000. They wouldn't expand to 66,000 above east stand unless we were constantly in top 4/6

extra strip of boxes/another premium bar with padded seats. thats where the money comes in.Financially it's an odd one to extend a stadium beyond what we have now. For instance 10,000 extra season ticket sales at £500 a pop generates £5m a year, which probably wouldn't buy you a decent premier league player and a relatively trivial amount compared with the TV money. Factor in the costs of carrying out the work, then you may take an awfully long time to get your money back.
