PiL tickets for Fire Station secured this morning. Extremely pleasing not to pay a single penny extra in charges. I appreciate it may be 'hidden' in the face value, but £36 seems a decent price these days.

We think they played Dingwalls / Bierkeller whatever it was called at the time.Looking at that gig list linked from the article above there's no entry for a gig at Trillians, but they're is one for Tiffany's in Newcastle.
I hope you weren't one of the late arrivers. Ruined the show.Stewart Lee at the City Hall on Friday.
No but just made it to our seats in time! First time in my life I've ever been to a gig where the starting time on the ticket is the actual time the show starts mind. Thought it just added a bit of spontaneity to his routine tbf mind. Enjoyed watching him freestyle it.We think they played Dingwalls / Bierkeller whatever it was called at the time.

Me and a mate went. It might have been that gig where we only had enough money for another drink or the bus, so we had the drink and walked back to Jarrow.Sisters of Mercy supported the Gun Club at Dingwalls/Bierkeller in 1983..it rang a bell when you posted it..it coincided with another band playing and i went to the other gig..might’ve been the Vibrators..not sure..edit…
It was Big Country at Sunderland Polytechnic..both the 22nd April 1983.

Think I saw Big Country at Dingwalls. I'll have to dig my old tickets out.The Big Country gig at the Poly was class..they were just making a name for themselves..Fields of Fire had just come out..they played 6 encores..when i got home (it was a Friday) they were on the Old Grey Whistle Test.
