I was just about to post if he’s 18 he should start looking at other career paths but 16 is very young like, 18 is as well mind and our 18’s look shit hot. The worry is how much do the mags fancy getting onto some of them after that.

Aye what people might not realise is the step from 16s to 18s is huge. I've seen plenty of their keeper. Tough number and we know you have good and bad days. He's got a pro there and I hope he kicks on.

Best thing was on the last goal our defence was kicking of with the midfield for not following the runner. They were gutted at conceedeing both. Means a lot to win and be as tight as possible. Great mentality.

Any young un’s leaving our youth set up for the scum’s 3rd rate (at best) one need their heads examined

This is why I’m conflicted about the younger age groups getting more coverage. I’d love to see more highlights etc but then I can’t see it will do the kids’ development much good logging on here and seeing they’re being called worse than shite (not an issue at the minute as the lads are class but you certainly see it when the u21s are streamed).

Two sides isn't it? Need the experience and learn how to fail but the critism can't be harsh or over the top at times. We have used mainly 3 15/16 year olds in the 18s side this year. All done great, they'll experience more and have a mini crash every now and then. It's all learning.
I mentioned the lads age not as a dig but as advice/educate that give these lads space and essentially time to develop. I don't care if they play for us, Mags, arsenal whoever. Sure the nufc keeper will take a lot from the game. He's a good lad and a good keeper.

Think it would be quite good to listen to some coach’s and welfare types about this. Do they almost need to hear a little bit of it as they grow up so that one day when they are droped in the first team it isn’t overwhelming if they get that slagging off? But like you say they are still kids really. I think on the whole the vast majority of people who are interested are really supportive of them. The whole thing all the way from when they join is probably quite mentally draining, all the time they have to commit to it, the will I get released or not, will I get my scholarship while at the same time as they do their GCSEs. I suppose it’s why they need a good family/support network round them and why the club need to as well. Sorry I’m babbling , just thought you brought up a good point.

There’s a few under 16s so I’m guessing it’s their day release day. So might be he is up to his max game time in a certain period or something along the lines of how much he has played.

16s are away in easter school holidays. Sure he put after the nufc game off for internationals.
