Club are looking to extend the stadium

We got 45k against stoke. Any success would mean sell outs. It just would. We’ve had 2 successful seasons since the sol opened. That’s two 7th place finishes, hardly successful but in the grand scheme of what we’ve witnessed. The capacity is too small for a successful Sunderland. It’s just about right for us being a championship club.
im not sure our catchment area for people interested in football is big enough to fill a 55 thousand seater stadium consistently..i would love to be proved wrong.Just look at out gates in the thirties when we could claim to be one of the greats and you will get the idea.

I asked why would we get to host the champions league final in my first reply to you, and you never responded.

It’s got as much chance of getting a champions league final as Boro’s stadium does.
You do know we are talking about if it is extended, don't you? The whole point of this thread?it might end up git class. Have you seen the plans like, you seem to be on such a downer about it.

According to Magnus over the road.

Lets forget about empty seats etc. If Sunderland want to compete seriously we need to get the infrastructre ready for the next 10 years etc.

Good move in my opinion
I would rather they demolished those houses down Roker and built a new Roker Park

They’re looking into other avenues such as Rugby games, so if they can get big capacity stuff then why not.

SJP has hosted rugby league for past few seasons and always looks like part of ground shut off so it's clear we won't be extending it for rugby
