Club are looking to extend the stadium

Magnus is simply a speculator who gets most things wrong.

The club have to renew planning permission every ten years to extend the South stand or else it lapses. This they have done and they confirmed it in a supporters collective meeting.

I would think that most fans would welcome this but the club haven’t even yet set a date for the fabled walk around the stadium with fan groups to check faults and get it in better nick, so I think this may be jumping the gun.

Eventually I would love to see us extend to make sure we keep gigs and get a pitch like spurs that can change for events.

The main goal though is to get a team to be capable of holding there own in the premier league.

Fitting the ground with things that make money throughout the week like the bars that Bristol City have, The micro brewery like Tottenham, hotel rooms facing the pitch, gyms etc would be a much better investment than another 7000 empty seats and further diluted atmosphere.
what bars do they have at Bristol City?

Its to go the whole way to 60,000+ not just the South stand from what hes been told

WE've been here before and it was to the detriment of the club
Reidy wanted to spend on the team, Bob wanted to extend the North Stand, Reidy said the team wasn't strong enough, Bob wouldn't listen.
Bob spent the money on the stand, we got relegated.

We need to be locking people out with a good team holding it's own in the PL before any thoughts of extending the SOL.
I'd love to see it and it would look fantastic, as well as taking the capacity to around 64k.....imagine that, a full house midweek vs Real Madrid in the CL semi-finals 🙏😎

So basically he's just looked at the councils planning portal & jumped to conclusions.

If they want to increase & get more fans in they need to reduce st prices & stop excluding certain demographics with this digital nonsense

Only if prices of season tickets come down. No chance of selling the lower bowl completely at prices in modern times and the cost of living

Don't think there's any such plans, not ones that are in any way imminent anyway. Might be wrong like but would be very surprised. Even it we get euro games I'd imagine we won't get particularly top fixtures, so 48,000 would likely be enough. Might help a bit with the 2 or 3 concerts a year but can't see that being reason enough to extend. In terms of football, we'd have the chicken and egg where the extension could, in theory, bring more money into the club which would help us spend more, but where we'd be nowhere near using it unless we've already been incredibly successful and are comfortably in the PL
