renewing season ticket but Thinking of moving up there, what’s access like? is it a lot of steps or are lifts available for doddery old gits like me

Couple in front of us came from there but dad no one talked to them whereas all our lot always have a bit chat with them
They've had a look but stopping where they are

There are a lot of steps, it’s one of the reasons we have decided to stay in the West Stand. In years gone by a couple of older lads near us used to use the lift, going in through the main reception. You would need to ask if that’s still a possibility. The view is canny and despite what some say on here the atmosphere was fine. We had some canny people around us and it was only the season before closure when lots hadn’t renewed that there were lots of empty seats around us and then it was quiet.

Yes, there are a lot of steps and no there isn't a lift, but I like it, the view is superb.
I'm not going back though, as little bro's knee and angina won't let him

The steps will help keep you fit man. You can bomb up and down them at half time;)

We said we would go back as soon as we had the chance and are now sorted. I wouldn't want to sit too far back but we got where we were after in block P13. We've always found the facilities better, there's more room to stand and have a drink and less queuing for the toilet at half time. Its great to stand having a pint looking out over the river before the game. Yeah lots of stairs and if you're struggling with mobility it could be a bit of a test, would definitely be an improvement to have lift facilities for supporters who would struggle using the main stairs (could they not use the main entrance?).

Really can't wait for next season to be back up there.

wouldn't say there are a lot of steps in comparison to other grounds' upper tiers. view is excellent and the concourse areas are nicer. near the back it can be a bit cut off though.

I didn’t like it. Boxed in, bit too high, Nee atmosphere.

That's my experience of it as well. If you can get a decent seat towards the front and quite central the view is good (although don't expect any atmosphere) but towards the back you feel a bit detached from the whole occasion I find. I'd only every go up there now as a last resort tbh.

Agree with this, as there was/isn't that many up there. Perhaps that will change now its reopened.

However, I did like being up there as you can follow the game much better than if sat in Row 2 of the East Stand Library ;-)
