Mogga

He's done a very good job imo. We've been playing some great football, scoring goals despite our start striker missing the majority of the season.

All managers would struggle without a striker.

Do people think he's the man to get us to the premier League
If the season ends in January then sure, why not?

But the fitness management issue he has is a massive problem and has been his whole career. We were told this by Blackburn, Boro, wba and Coventry fans when we appointed him. And the major problem now is fitness.

If he can’t keep the squad fit for the whole 46 games he has absolutely no chance of taking us to promotion - simple as that really.

And your opinion on squad fitness?

Our fitness has been fine. We've suffered with injuries and not had an ability to rotate at times due to lack of availability and or experience.

Wonder if Stewart’s injuries of late (very serious ones) were affected in any way by overplaying, always needing to be on the pitch so rarely subbed etc.?

Last season he was flogged like a dead horse, 49 matches, we were so bloody lucky he never got injured but now two bad ones in a short space of time.

The big question now is will he return and be as fit as he was at the end of last season or will he always be susceptible to regular lay offs in the future?
Some do, some don't.
It’s not just the striker positions where we’ve been short. Central midfield, a regular fit left back etc..

Yes.

Lovely bloke who has exceeded my expectations, a really enjoyable season despite the injuries and this current rut.
My thoughts exactly.

Was very underwhelmed when he joined but can't really complain with what's been served up only until the last couple of weeks.

I don’t believe many managers would want the job, working under the current owners. Keane and Neil didn’t and TM probably couldn’t believe he’s luck getting the SAFC job with his CV

Seriously?

It staggers me that some fans cannot see how much we are behind fitness wise, and that it is the main reason we lost our last 3 games, as we were completely out run.

Both do Stewart’s injuries are fatigue injuries, so almost certainly caused by overworking him. Funny how he never got injured under Neil’s fitness and recuperation regime

So you're saying that no player ever got injured under Neil then?

How many games had he played before pulling a fat jogging in the warm up before Boro?

I am struggling to see why the negativity towards Mowbray, hes got no options.

Here's a scenario that shows how ridiculous the situation he is in.

Mowbray and the coaching team have watched the last 4 Norwich games and can see that playing 2 Strikers is the perfect tactic as their defence is slow and easily turned. Who does he pick that does that naturally?
Its also noted that they break fast through 2 quick Midfielders operating behind a central Striker, which 2 Defensive Midfielders does he pick that their natural game is to sit in front of the back 4 and prevent that?

The answer is none as we have 4 Central Midfielders that want to play as Number 8's, 1 Striker that doesnt run the channels and never has in his career.

So he then has to attempt to find the Square Pegs to fit the Round holes. Some games it might work and the players may adapt, some games when the going is getting tough and they arent playing well will want to revert to what they are good at.
