Mogga

Definitely.

Suits the hierarchy because he won’t rock the boat and has a reputation for developing young players - which is pretty much all he’ll get.

He’s done a very good job and you have to feel for him the way he’s been shafted since January

Done some really positive things so far but as well as the recruitment team accepting blame for not strengthening in key positions he needs to accept some portion of responsibility for not even attempting to try something different to address the current slump.

What would I do?

I’d play ekwah and O’nien in the middle to start games and maybe give us a bit of physical presence.

I’d look to at least give opposition defences the thought that we have the pace to go in behind (bennette, lihadji) might make them step back a little thus creating space for a roberts or diallo or Clarke to exploit.

It might not work and I’m sure I’ll be told lots of reasons why it wouldn’t work which is fair enough but the determination to play the same way with the same set of players isn’t working right now.

Would caveat all of this with the fact that I think he’s done a more than canny job and he will be here next season but doesn’t mean I can’t provide some constructive criticism of his approach over recent games.

agree. he has made some in game management mistakes like but overall he's done a good job and has been shafted by striker situation
Managers make mistakes mate. We are a really young squad. We were one of the form sides in the league when we had a striker

He should he an I hope he is. But he needs to do something which doesn't come naturally to him and that's shore it up a touch and include one or two who maybe aren't the best footballers but have a bit more about them like O'Nein in midfield maybe and get some experience in there.

Not ideal and I don't think he fancies that, but this absolutely has the potential to spiral out of control if he doesn't get a grip on it.

He's been left in a shitty situation where he's got no forward and little experience and strength in central midfield. But he has to shuffle his pack a bit better than he has done recently, because if he doesn't they'll get rid of him and he'll get the blame.
