Not 1 player had a good game today the likes of diallo Neil Clarke batth all poor

No natural striker is making it impossible ATM

Confidence is lacking a bit

Yeah it invites pressure, I can't count how many times the defenders or midfielders were looking for an out and there was no one up top. It's basic tactics they pressured is in places as they knew they had zero to worry about uptop.unless your Barcelona or man city with amazing players your gonna struggle as a team with no out.

I meant Mowbray picking the team not you. He needs to stop moaning about not having a striker, I think we all know that

I'm glad he's moaning about it to me it proves he's not just a yes man that I feared he was. He's got his hands tied because of recruitment and a squad of kids. We needed a bit more experience and at least another striker or two in Jan.

Yes, look at the bigger picture man.
We're struggling up top this then affects the likes of Diallo and Roberts (both bang out of form)
We're missing an experienced centre mid (this affects Dan Neils performance)
If it's not working up front and midfield this affects the defence (being put under pressure)

It's a snowball effect, centre forward is one of the most crucial positions on the pitch.

It was simple, replace Stewart and Evans but this costs money.
Instead we signed a few kids that we might make some profit on in 2-3 years time.

Mowbray has done well overall but in the last 3 or 4 games the midfield has been to easily overrun. So to put Neil in there on his own was stupid. He then brings on Michut for Geldhardt which hardly strengthened it. Yesterday was a lot down to Mowbray. He desperately needs to strengthen the midfield.

You can blame Speakman for ruining our season for not bringing a striker but Mowbray isn’t blameless for me. It’s his job to find a solution. It’s not ideal with the hand he’s been dealt but why not change the formation go 2 up top and just try someone like Onien with Gelhardt. He might be garbage up top but can’t be any worse than it is at the minute least he will give us an out ball and give Gelhardt some support. If he persists playing the same way we could plummet down the league. As soon as teams nullify the front 3 we have no ideas to break them down

Can't disagree with the lack of tactical nous. However decisions in January seem to have left us woefully short of options in many positions as well as a striker:

Matete out on loan and Mowbray doesn't seem to fancy Ekwah so no defensive midfield options.

Bailey Wright out. Anderson can't even make match day squad. Alese is covering at left back.

Looks like O'Nien is the cover for every position except striker.

Mowbray won't play the others as he sees them as too young and inexperienced.

He doesn't want to play the lads that don't speak English.

Therefore we only appear to have a valid squad of around 15 players.

i don't think we've played particularly well since the game at fulham.
mowbray has to take some of the criticism, same as the striker situation is down to the recruitment team.
i'd also say that imo the players have to take their share as they seem to have been sucked in by all the plaudits after that fulham game and since then have seemed to think they're better than they are. on their day they're a match for anyone in this league but they need to work a lot harder.
i wasn't at the match yesterday mind as on holiday so not sure exactly how bad it was, just going off other recent performances.

Even if they did try, thats not acceptable either, the situation we were in, we simply had to get one.
