Mowbray

It may be a Mowbray thing but it’s also a Sunderland thing. We’ve always had a shit run of losses or poor performances every season.

Got it totally wrong today. What was he thinking with that midfield? So naive.
He always seems naive. Even when we were playing well, it always seemed in spite of Mowbray, that he had stumbled onto something without quite knowing why.

When it stops working he doesn't have an answer, just hopes to stumble onto something else that works.

Modern football is heavily based around statistical analysis and tactics, good teams will prepare and have an answer. It might not always work but at least there is a plan.

I think that is why the top clubs in the Championship never offered him a job. Like Lee Johnson was the same he has highs and lows. Mowbray is much the same, sometimes gets it right but makes blunders which prevents him from achieving anything.

I've no idea, he has probably done better than expected to be honest so I won't be complaining, I just don't understand Pritchard in a two, let alone with 4 further attacking player but like I said, I didn't complain at QPR.

I'd like to see some of the younger lads a bit more for the rest of the season now, Ekwah, Ba and co.

You’re actually suggesting playing Pritchard in CM was our best option today?

He's obviously put Prichard in to try to get more support to Geldhart. Unfortunately both players had stinkers first half.

He probably should have taken Prichard off after about 20 minutes as it clearly wasn't working. But stupidly, even though it needs doing manager's barely ever do it.

We signed a few players in the window who we don’t play. Fair enough if they’re not good enough that means the window was a disaster. But we read on here it was a good window (barring the obvious), if it was why aren’t those players starting games ?

But surely he would have known that would leave us in some really difficult positions on the counter?

Might see Ba up front again next week!
