Got tickets for the Cluny.

Also just seen he’s announced the Liverpool December gig. Few days after my 40th. I’ll wait until the fixtures are out, but might use it as an excuse to do a couple of nights in Liverpool with owa lass.

Was considering Shame, but won’t bother now. Like the music, but went to see them at Newcastle Uni & couldn’t get away with them as people. They were a bunch of little gimps. Seen an interview a few days before & they sounded like little posh boys trying to be poor. Also said SLF wrote Johnny Was. Came out feeling a bit disappointed cos of it. Mind, that might have been because they changed the support band order & I missed Fontaines DC. Useless fuckers.
Their first album is a run of the mill indie album for me nothing special but their second album is a right stormer. Lead me to go see them last time they were at the boilershop and they were class. Never watched them in interviews but I find the majority of bands from the windmill scene are all poshos.

The couple singles they’ve released from their third album are decent so hopefully not too spangled by the time I get through from the match. Few of us starting in Gateshead and walking along. Microbus and Axis are cracking micropubs.

The Windmill scene? First time I e heard that

Off to see Charlatans and Ride tonight.
Dont know who is on first. Always liked them both, but reckon i prefer Ride.
Prefer Charlatans myself, but it'll be a cracker in any case.

That’s the lottery win dream like. See a band or tour you like & follow it for a few dates abroad. Or the US!

Imagine doing Amsterdam, Paris & Berlin or sumat.

Both were excellent when I saw them a few weeks ago. I was expecting liking Ride more. I hadn't seen the Charlatans since their first tour back in early '90 and they were doing an album that's not one I'm most familiar with, but they were great (and finished with a few "hits") and TB was very engaging. See who headlined the last gig and they'll be flipping it.

Squid are playing Boiler Shop 22/10. I was a year late getting in to their first album so haven't seen them. Hope to make this one.
I saw them at Northumbria uni, they were decent enough given how bad the layout and sound is in there. Boilershop should be a good gig, skint at the moment so will look to get a ticket closer to the time.

Mate's managed to get us some cheap tickets to Black Star Riders at the City Hall on Friday. Am I right in thinking you can take ya beer in nowadays?

Into the City Hall?! Not legitimately. Now I know this isn’t your first gig, am I missing something here?!
I've not been to the City Hall for a good while - at least five years or so. I know you never used to be able to take ya pints in but I'm sure somebody had told me that had changed? Or a meringue?
