You should be good for a seat from there but it will full by time hit Hartlepool.
Coming backs normally worse as it’s already full when it pulls into Sunderland and you just have to squeeze on.

Depends how old your kids is and if hes ok with being squashed in, stood up on way back initially.
My boy is 10 and he used to it now.
Never not managed to get on mind, and tbf you can normally get a seat again once past hartlepool for last bit of journey.
Think we on the 1142 from Stockton, if we get organised in next hour or so!

I feel the pain of all the lads getting these trains but I get an urge to follow this thread every home game to see the outcome.it’s like a game of roulette with trains and people.
It hasn't set off from Boro.
The lass in the H/pool ticket office, said the train is not even guaranteed to run.

Same here, more so because one of our group travels up from Horden and gets (or tries to) these trains. The days when he can get on he often turns up sweating like fuck and all flustered.

He manages about half the time I would say, maybe a bit more, always stood nose to nose with people though. Probably depends what time you get on.
