Sustainability / Commercial ideas

Following on from what's been an interesting discussion on the Spurs thread. I thought it would be an idea to have a thread with suggestions and discussions on ways to improve the finances of the club.

Extended concourses with better food and drink options to encourage more fans to make a day of it at the game

Any other ideas?
Yes, but wouldn't a fenced off area with Marquees do it until we are back in the land of stupid money?

I wish they would have a better selection of drinks. It's an in and out experience for me the match day was there sharp Saturday would rather spend my money in the ground but the drinks are vile. Concourses awful

How would the concourse be extended ?

£5 to use the toilet.
£5 to unlock your seat to the down position.
£5 to get a cup for your pint.
£5 to turn the turnstile.
£5 to climb stairs, each way.
£20 to leave early.

We’d make a fortune.
Don't think the second one would be popular, too much piss on the seats!

I've suggested merch several times at the meetings but have always been shot down with some long winded tale about babies bottles that they couldn't sell.

Anyone with bairns will know what it's like. You have a lovely family day out at a farm or a museum or somewhere, then you go through the shop as you leave and they pester you for a ruler or a bouncy ball or other such tat. I reckon there is a market for novelty tat at the kiosks on match day and in the shop for gifts. I used to buy my lot pens and pencils and stuff like that for their Christmas stockings.

Take the existing wall down where the turnstiles are and move it outwards
Sounds like a canny big bit of work that mind, not sure it’ll help with sustainability as the cost would be astronomical. Sprucing the concourses up a bit wouldn’t do any harm mind.
