We’ll sing what we want

I didn’t google theories of racism. I googled racism and theories of racism is a tag google have applied.

It’s not that deep

Why don’t you see if you can find a link that from a decent source that backs up your view that racially stereotyping isn’t racism.
Yes, and you've highlighted the bit that isn't the actual definition.

You're right, it's not that deep. It's a pretty simple definition if you understand what discrimination, antagonism and prejudice mean. You shouldn't need me to explain the difference between the two if that's the case. If you want to argue with the Oxford dictionary then be my guest. See how you get on.

Can you link me to what you think OED defines racism as?

Embarrassing.

The club having to put something out about the Diallo chant is embarrassing enough.

Stop signing it.

Completely agree marra. It's all fine and well the fans having a laugh and enjoying themselves but when the club / player has to come out publicly asking for the chant to be stopped it should happen pretty immediately as a mark of respect / appreciation from the fan base.

You’re calling out people for racism and then you’re using an ableist slur. I know many people aren’t aware of the connotations and I assume this will be why you’ve used it. But that word really isn’t acceptable anymore.
Can't believe that he's hammered people for singing about a bloke's nob and he's said this. Nobody has picked up on it, shameful.

She said no, its "no"

He said no, it's "no"

Colour, creed, race, hair colour, eye colour, intelligence, disability you label them something they don't like it's "no"

Read a f***ing book or something mate

What is racism?
Some definitions
prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another; typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

Can’t believe we’ve got someone arguing racial stereotyping isn’t racist

Mind is f***ing blown
You called someone something that rhymes with song? Now that is mind blowing. Right up there with racism in my book.

Are you OK pal?

Pay the money if you need it in electronic form.
So how are you looking up what Oxford says the definition is/isn’t?

Cos every other single dictionary ( Learners, Collins etc) says something similar to:

the belief that some races of people are better than others, or a general belief about a whole group of people based only on their race

It seems to me like you’re making this whole Oxford definition up and it’s hard to take you seriously as a scholar

You seem to be ignoring me when I'm mentioning your comment?

It's in the dictionary on my sofa in front of me now. There are plenty of sites that quote it in electronic form. Try using Google properly this time.

As for the second bit, using the definition you're trying to impose on me here, you'd be defined as a racist if you say "black people have darker skin than white people" on the "general belief about a whole group". That's why the adults in the room aren't using it. I know you're finding this very exciting trying to brand a stranger on the internet as "racist", but you've already posted a definition yourself that's inline with the Oxford definition.

So we agree racial stereotyping is racist

Took the scenic route but we got there in the end
