Sunderland will face Saudi Arabian opposition Al Shabab in Friendly (poll in Parsnip)

Then why are no clubs arranging friendlies v Russian clubs at the minute?
Because of the war going on, and the Russian clubs are banned from playing in European competitions, so hardly think anyone would be allowed to arrange friendly. There is no ban on Saudi teams, and this country gave approval to the Saudi regime taking over a English club

Hold on. You say we shouldn't generalise and judge all Saudis as monsters because of their human rights record, then generalise by saying the whole country gave approval to the saudi regime taking over the mags.

There is a war going on in the Yemen and we all know about how that regime was allowed to do it.
Both are morally questionable, at best

Really??!!! I'm not talking about the whole country, I'm talking about whoever cleared it for them to take over, as it was blocked then all of a sudden it was cleared. Not sure if that's the government and the premier league or just the premier league decision makers

Boris

More concerned about the cost and climate change issues than the Saudi connotations. Any excuse for a jolly. No need for it.

It's not a defence against anything, don't need to defend myself. I haven't looked up some random Saudi club to see what there back ground is.

Did Boris have a say on it, I thought they didn't get involved in football matters
Aye.

Don't really know, the players and management probably don't have any links, do you punish everyone because of the people that run the country
 so this is the next defence.

However, they do have a convicted sexual abuser playing for them who has been sentenced to 4 years in prison.

Mate you can’t seriously think this?

I think the mags are an absolute disgrace for the way they go on, and the fact they turn a blind eye to it all. But there’s not a single mag who you can tell me actively “supports” terrorism. That’s mental to the extreme.
Tbf i know a couple who actually say kill and do what they want they arent arsed because its the best thing thats happened to them
