It's the definition of it. For some reason it doesn't get talked about, probably because our government are in with Saudi, but it's no different to Putin buying a club and being roundly loved by their fans.

Not really, it's a stupid comparison. One is a competitive game ordered by the league.

The other is a friendly during a jolly up training camp. There is numerous other options to play.

It's not comparable whatsoever. Of course you will make any nonsense up to defend anything.

is there a difference between organising a one off friendly against opponents we have chosen and playing competitively against a team in the same division? we might not boycott but I’d imagine there’d be a big fuss about it.
