Autumn booster jabs

They'll say watch and wait for 7-10 days. It's generally your lymph nodes working and nothing to be worried about. But I'd give your GP a call if it lasts longer than 10 days, if the swelling is hard and doesn't move if you touch it or if there was immediate pain as the needle went in.
Cheers mate, I'll wait a bit longer

Just got back from getting my booster (Pfizer) at the local community centre. In and out in 2 mins without sitting down and got the Flu jab as a bonus.

Got a crappy day at work tomorrow so wouldn't mind a bad reaction as an excuse to pull a sickie. I was bad for one day after the first jab (AZ) but was fine with the second one and first booster (Pfizer) - well, apart from catching COVID a few days after having the booster.
.
Update: Felt a bit crap this morning (mid-level hangover equivalent) and both arms sore so I took the morning off an watched the cricket. By lunchtime I felt fine.

I was a little bit rough off first AZ. Second was fine. Moderna booster flattened me.

I had AZ for the first two. Both times, on the evening I had them, I was shivery cold and had to put an extra blanket on my bed as I couldn't get warm. I felt wiped out the following day with a bad headache and just generally felt unwell.

I've had two Pfizer and two Moderna boosters. I've had no real side effects with any of those, just a slightly sore arm around the injection site.

Had 5th injection Pfizer Friday bit of sore arm next day as with all but no other affects, first one felt abit fluey day after but that was all... nurse said deaths up in North east 2 in york just in last 2 weeks

Where are these figures from? The official figures published by NHSE vary considerably but they don’t go into as much detail as the above.

Makes sense in some ways as there are two important things to take on board

First is that the autumn boosters have only been running for nine weeks. My Mam is in her 70s and has COPD and has only just been vaccinated.

Second is that with COVID being less of a threat due to a) vaccination (the irony!) and b) less virulent strains, it fades from mind.

From the local BBC TV news at lunchtime.

I had my "at risk" jab in September, my oldies [80's] had theirs before i did.
Really surprised the figures are that low, the Doctor running a clinic in Bristol was suggesting a really bad winter ahead.

Me too. I've had several texts and letters to remind me to get it, along with a similar push on flu jabs, even though I've already had both of them.

Interesting, thanks. I’ll see if I can find their source.

I can see the figures being lower than expected but I agree they are still rather low, and you’d hope for better.

Its because the penny is dropping in the population. Re the other thread, im spreading "misinformation". Tell this to the people suffering life changing injuries.

I honestly dont know how people pushing this can sleep at night. Its reassuring to know the people who have been pressured into "doing the right thing" but have been injured or worse, can expect to be ignored or even be dismissed as misinformation. Its sickening.

You said COVID-19 vaccines have been “a disaster”. Clearly untrue. A complete lie. A paper in The Lancet estimates over ten million lives saved globally by COVID-19 vaccines.

No medical intervention, no matter how big or small, comes at no risk. Vaccines are no different, but they are safe, they are effective and they have saved millions of lives.

I have every sympathy for people who have been harmed by a COVID-19 vaccine. I really do, but the rate of vaccine-related harm is very low, and not enough to justify ending the vaccination program, as you appear to support.

You seem to struggle with understanding the scale of issues and have a clear bias for two things:

1. Narrative stories seem particularly effective at influencing your thinking, even though they may not be applicable at scale. For example, the man on GB News there. It’s a tragic story, and I feel for him, but his experience is very, very rare, and I believe the role of the vaccine in his symptoms is yet unproven. He certainly deserves all the help and support the NHS can offer him, regardless of whether the vaccine caused his illness or not.

2. Any story that portrays the vaccine in a negative light, you tend to unquestionably believe, such is your enthusiasm for finding any fault you can with the vaccines.

You falsely accuse me of claiming I have called genuine cases of vaccine related harm, to be misinformation. This is another lie from you.

Why are you a liar? What do you have to gain from it? It baffles me that people go on this way as I’ve never met a single person in the real world who peddles this sort of absolute nonsense.

I am not a liar. I have seen the results of these in my own life. Look around you. Young people developing heart problems, dropping dead, blood clots and as we discussed the other day excess deaths higher now than during the peak pandemic years. It might just be coincidence it might not be. My point is, you dont even want to consider the possibility. This stopped being about science for the likes of yourself a long time ago. This is more a religion or a belief system. I would also suggest you stop paying attention to models and estimates. They are unscientific, unprovable nonsense. Mr Fegusons ludicrous estimates about the number of deaths we would face helped get us into this mess.

Let me ask you a question. Have you ever thought, "what if im wrong?". Has this ever even occurred to you? I have lost count of how many times i have asked myself this question, particularly at the start. The big difference between me and you is, i am desperate to be wrong and you are desperate to be right. I would like nothing better than for all the conclusions ive reached to be wrong and for me to be ridiculed for the rest of my life. I wouldnt even delete my account on here. I wonder how you will react when this finally collapses.

How many young people have you seen drop dead, have blood clots and developing heart problems? And how do you attribute this directly to the vaccine? What evidence do you have?

I know people im my own life who have become seriously ill shortly after taking the jab, including a family member who has had three extended stays in hospital since. This is an internal bleeding issue. A friend younger than me has developed blood clots. Both known side effects. I have not seen anyone drop dead personally but it is happening. The amount of 'died suddenly' news articles is unusually high, we know excess deaths are up as are deaths at home. You will also note in my post i said it may be a coincidence it might not be. I presume you would just prefer to plough on regardless as well rather than stop and investigate properly?
