South Stand Muppets

Someone on twitter said a piece of card went into their eyeball, it was thrown from the south stand and they were sitting in the north stand.
I suggest everyone in the north stand now turns up wearing a net, you can’t be too careful

The displays always get thrown on the pitch.
Just a bit of craic throwing a few extras on the pitch at half time.
One person woth a laser pen hardly a crime of the century.
People have no humour these days. People used to be able to let of a bit of steam at the football, now it's constant criticism for having a bit of a laugh.
I don’t really care about lobbing a bit of paper about. It’s the racist shite and the way they go on like coked up little gimps thinking they are hard with silly pube haircuts.

 Certainly not new to football, and no issues with vitriol. But chanting about Welsh people shagging sheep is neither vitriolic, witty or original. It's no different to the numerous clubs who've chanted 'Shearer' at us for the past 25 years or the League One players who did his celebration when they scored against us. We all rolled our eyes and said how smalltime it was, do you not think the Cardiff fans did the same? They hear the same thing 44 times a season, I doubt they were quaking in their boots.

On a kind of similar note, I'm far too young to have experienced the Roker Roar in its heyday but my understanding is it was just that - a roar? I always think the best atmospheres at the SOL are when there's a proper roar, or like the 'By far the greatest team' before kick off at Wembley that the kids today turn their noses up at. Wish we'd just focus on making it as raucous and hostile as possible without obsessing over copying whatever ditties Liverpool have nicked from South America that no-one will ever join in with.
Small time.....the biggest small time term in football

Yes, I heard it for myself from the NWC. Booing the knee is considered racist.
im not surprised you would try to defend that.

you haven't got a shred of evidence that the booing was solely coming from the Roker End and to throw that accusation at an entire stand of which there are many, many staunch Sunderland supporters and proper good folk is an absolute disgrace tbh.

To accuse me of defending racist booing is even worse.

Have a word with yourself.

The only dangerous item thrown on Saturday came from the North Stand.

I await the outrage condemning the North Stand.

The sniping at the Roker End is pathetic and needs called out.

I sit in the Roker End man, I see it every week. Nobody is likely to condemn the North Stand as it will be an isolated incident and you know that.

So are you condoning our own fans chucking stuff at photographers, a lad who posts on here as well?

Before folk call the away fans for hoying stuff we need to get our own in order.

People were throwing paper balls and paper aeroplanes around. It's really not the end of the world mate.

Has football became so sanitised that throwing paper around requires a 20 page thread?? If so, I'm out.

Talk Sport reported.
PROUD England fans threw paper planes on pitch at Wembley because they were so bored.

Sounds familiar.

I must be misunderstanding this but are you really comparing people throwing screwed up balls of paper onto the pitch to vapes, flares and coins being throw by away fans into sections of home supporters?

this entire thread is based on people throwing paper balls around at half time. Given I was part of the group who stayed for over an hour at full time cleaning the stand (after a 0-1 defeat in which we had played shit), I should be whinging more than most but I just don't... get it. People were enjoying themselves, no harm was done and they were all picked up at full time.

South Stand muppets indeed.

Exactly.
Disappointing reply. Grown men launching paper balls in a female stewards face isn’t people enjoying themselves.

Back of the North Stand was brilliant, all ex Fulwell Enders as this was designated the official home end, and then they installed the BCB seats there.
Could hardly hear the SWC
