South Stand Muppets

1) people were throwing poppy display paper balls on the pitch at our players when they were attacking.

2) someone has been ejected for using a laser pen

3) groundstaff are clearing paper balls of pitch at half time, so people are throwing more on

4) paper balls thrown at the soldiers doing the half time challenge

What the hell is the matter with folks? I'm vexed 🤬
I never attended today, but I am not in the least surprised.

Can’t believe this place man. A fantastic display put on but the entire thing is ruined cos people threw a few bits of paper 🤣 Must’ve been a bad result.
The display was supposed to be a mark of respect. You’d have to be a complete helmet to think it was respectful to scrumple it up and hoy it on the pitch.

Were you there for the sheff wed play off? Same happened then. That wasn’t disrespectful either it was just a bit of paper getting hoyed about.

Yes I was there. The display wasn’t supposed to be a mark of respect. It’s not that hard to understand the difference like.

I don’t think it’s disrespectful either way. Nobody threw the bit of paper with the intention of insulting Remembrance Day. It just happens.

It’s just common sense like.
Is it? To not hoy a bit of paper at the risk of upsetting some sensitive people? Fuck them. The display was superb and the message was loud and clear. A bit of paper being crumpled up and thrown a few rows isn’t the end of the world nor is it disrespectful. People can’t breathe these days without someone complaining

Agree with this, full of tossers. Pleb of a dad with 2 young sons infront of me launching paper balls trying to hit people. Eventually hit a young female steward in the face, proper coward of a man.

Best part of match for me was the paper getting hoyed.. bloke nxt to me never watched the match once! he was too busy entertaining us around him, making delicate shapes out of all the paper.. I think it’s called Origami ..
But he did look up at the pitch once on the 90 minutes.. stating..” many more performances like this and the club will fold!”

No paper displays were thrown any where near any players, not even there keeper but yes did end up on the pitch.
No papers thrown anywhere near any soldiers and One kid with a laser pen.
Stop twisting about a load of nowt and making it sound worse than it was.

A can remember the mags game where the full stadium held red and white display cards and it all went up as confetti before kick off could hardly see the goal lines. The Stewards brushed it into the boards then got rid at half time probably what needs doing on the next display.

It was probably the most impressive remembrance day display ive ever seen. Thats what we need to focus on .
I agree, focus on the the positives.

However, I did wonder it anyone would post anything about the throwing stuff (given our horror at away fans doing it),booing the knee, the laser pen, anti mag chants when we were 0-1 down.
Not great from the south stand tbh.
