Because any fan walking away from the ground then is obviously an away fan and the nuggets will pick them off.

Far easier as an away fan ( not wanting to get involved in bother) to blend in with the crowd and get away .

True, but any SAFC fan who doesn't want bother can be out and away by the time they are out. surely the police know that any SAFC hanging around after that are the ones that are looking for something.

I walk down past the buses after every match , very rarely see NP standing down amongst the buses / fans.

The parking of the buses on the left hand side so the door is facing the riverside is a relatively new thing as well.

It’ll probably kick off big time before any action is taken.

Used to happen regularly but I believe it's against the law now - iirc a Chelsea fan sued the polis years ago for being held back after the game finished for ages.

Did someone not post cops arnt allowed to do that anymore ? Cannot see why not mind -easy to justify why-rather than let young uns looking for bother mix with the normal fans leaving at the same time

.. Saw about 30 of our youngins on the little hill beside the Beacon, close to where the coaches were when I was walking past. That was before the Burnley fans left the ground ..

We saw 3 of them in the car park heading for the sheepfolds vocally abusing Sunderland. I thought, carry on like that in the crowded walk towards the town and there'll be trouble.
Soon after there were a group being let out of a police van. Probably held back for their own safety.
