Who won?Allegedly a battle outside Colliery Tavern after the match...
I walked past the away busses just after full time. There was a group of youngish lads, I thought probably Sunderland, gathering by the entrance to the beacon car park. It looked like it was likely to kick off, didn't notice any bother though.Right , this is what I saw.
Coming out and walking past the away coaches . Walking in I had noticed they were parked on the different side of the road, meaning the Burnley fans would ( should) not be in direct confrontstion with the Sunderland fans.
Anyway, coming out, me, my son and his girlfriend.
All appeared fairly civilised , Burnley happy and singing Sunderland shrugging and generally with a fair enough attitude.
Then, started by what I can only describe as The Milky Bar kid, it all exploded.
It kicked off fairly heavy. I wont go blow for blow but the 2 groups were aged 16 to 19.
Sunderland are getting on top, but (and I kid you not) one Burnley youth getting howked runs behind the coaches yelling Dad, Dad !. From behind the coach Burnley Dad appears , and he ends up getting a clump off the Milky Bar Kid.
Next thing Burnley elder element (40 -50 year old ) gather, and to give them their due , they charge the Sunderland Youth and push them back. No blows in this incident , just a charge. I think it was more about keeping the area around the coaches safe for their fans. They charged the Sunderland Youth mob, and werent aggresive to regular fans.
The general view going up the road was ( unless they had been provoked earlier ?) It was Sunderland youth "at fault".
Never been to an away game vs Boro. If it happened to you then it was unacceptable. Not overly nice, is it?
Especially when on the receiving end.
All clubs have their share of arseholes.Who won?
I got the park and ride back with a few of them , they were sound .
Also said they have a few arsehole s following them and are embarrassed by it.
Doesn't particularly bother me tbh, but just pointing out that a fair few of Sunderland fans sing stuff like that at Boro.Never been to an away game vs Boro. If it happened to you then it was unacceptable.
All decent football fans are embarrassed by the arseholes that attach themselves to our clubs. It’s a pity they can’t get into a boxing ring and fight each other while the decent fans can enjoy the game in peace.Who won?

Going off your lot last few seasons then half your fan base .All decent football fans are embarrassed by the arseholes that attach themselves to our clubs. It’s a pity they can’t get into a boxing ring and fight each other while the decent fans can enjoy the game in peace.
This. Heads down and fuck off home win lose or draw if they knew what was good for them . Too easy going by half these daysIm always amazed that these second rate tin pot fans are even allowed to breath when visiting Sunderland. It was never tolerated in the old days.
Hey you don’t use us as the benchmarkCoventry wannabes...and very quiet from being behind until they scored
Really?Never knew you were a snowflake frij
Social media and coke. There's loads of them trying to video for it for Twitter or Facebook. All clubs have their share of arseholes.
Stands to reason, as in a cross section of society, you're gonna get your share of morons.

Not that I'm saying Boro fans are all little innocents - far from it, we have our fair share of morons
Burnley fans singing Burnley songs and giving it large to opposition supporters after scoring 4 from 2-0 down??? Who’d have thought it

I know you won’t agree but the vast majority of our fans are great and most of our games pass off relatively incident free. Just occasionally the knobheads come out to play unfortunately.Going off your lot last few seasons then half your fan base .
