Autumn booster jabs

What we’re finding is the virus is evolving around the immunity that’s been built up through vaccines.

The above is what virologists are currently saying, so what is the point of continuing with the roll out? Maybe it's better that we now learn to live with it better than we are doing, get more exercise and eat a better diet.
The NHS needs to get the waiting lists down and get people seen sooner than they are currently doing. There are people who are seriously ill who have far more problems than a sore throat a cough, and headache, which is what the bulk of current infections seem to be.
GPs need to get back into the surgeries and physically see examine and talk to patients imo.
Utter nonsense

If you believe the admissions is purely due to covid then you are hugely mistaken! If you test positive for the cold in hospital you automatically get counted as a convid patient. You could be in hospital for a broken arm only and have nothing to do with convid but because you had a positive test your included!
Covid is nothing more than a cold! After looking through the different threads its Clear this board is full of wetwipes eho are sh*t scared of a cold. Many claim to have had the cold and have survived but still run out to get juiced up from a toxic jab that gives no more protection than a chocolate fire guard. It is widely known the adverse affects the jab gives and more and more people are coming forward off being injured from the jab..
You lot need to man up, accept its a cold, something yous have had year after year and carry on. If you've had covid before and or still here then why are you still petrified? Yous lot are just a bunch of wetwipes and you can't deny it. Maybe the jab has literally took your own thoughts away and you believe the nonsense the media and government spout. If they said jump of a bridge to survive covid, its clear you lot will be lining up straight away. Bunch of fannies.
I didn’t realise that Right Said Fred had an account on the SMB until this illiterate post.

Had my covid booster on Tuesday. Moderna bivalent vaccine, protects against omicron and original and immunity lasts longer or so we were told. Bit of a sore arm but no other side effects. ‘Flu jab yesterday- no problems at all. Happy bunny. Had to book both appointments no walk ins round where I live. I booked the covid jab as soon as I was told I could so had to travel to the next town. My doctor’s surgery only offered appointments this week but you could get both done at the same time.
It seems here covid jabs are offered to non patients but only those registered at a practice can get flu jabs which is why I had mine separately. One of the doctors was saying they only got enough ‘flu vaccine for their patients.

Went online to book my booster using the same link as becs posted in the op. Was offered cramlington, Stockton and Leeds. I Iive in Sunderland SR3.
Grindon lane or Houghton are two minutes and five minute drives for me. Why are they offering me bloody Cramlington?

I've had the same. I can't book any appointments locally.

My daughter is entitled to one simply to protect me as I'm the vulnerable one. If I log in as her, she gets offered Washington, Houghton, Grindon etc.

I rang 119 and he got the same results and couldn't explain it 🤷‍♀️

I'm waiting for my GP surgery to get back to me to see if I can have it there when I have my flu one. I'm not booked in for that one yet either.

I tried again half an hour ago and now they are giving me the choice of the nearest walk in centres to me.
I don't know what was different apart from this time I clicked book now from the front page of that website. The first time when I got the daft distance away centres I read more of the site and clicked to book on a different webpage. Anyway whatever it was I've now got a booking at Grindon so all is good. :)

Thank you for posting that. I've just had a look and got one at the Centre for Life tomorrow as I'm working in Newcastle.

I got my recent booking for where I wanted to go with no trouble at all but with previous ones I was getting places miles away, I tried using different postcodes and was able to book my prefered site.

So that was the difference?
My first booking attempt I clicked on the category link I wanted, "1st booster and seasonal top-up". I read that page and clicked the green book now box on that page.
The second time I just clicked the book now box straight from the front page. Well that's a bit daft what an odd glitch.

Mad isn't it?!

I'm done now. That was jab number six for me 😳

I had my booster on Monday, Pfizer.

Had normal mild flu like symptoms the next morning but absolutely floored last night and late tonight too. Hot flushes and cold shivers. Shakes and aches, harsh sore throat and serious brain fog. Can’t get any sleep either.

Had a really bad reaction to the first AZ but been fine with the other 2 and the flu jab. Was half expecting it but not as rough

I’ve been similar. Had my booster and flu jabs at the same time around 3pm on Tuesday and still feel rough today - banging headache, hot/cold, can’t sleep well.

Been there and got all the badges from all the various varieties and had worse toothache tbh... But hey think what you want to think... Even the science is telling us its something we have to learn to live with...
I'll stick to what I know of having it 4 times and you stick to what you want to do, but please don't lecture me I'm talking nonsense when there are folk who can't get treatment for cancer because of little more than a bad cold

It is you who is doing the lecturing and after catching Covid four times did you not stop to think ‘maybe I’m doing something not quite right to have caught it this often’.
