Any Sunderland strongholds left ?

"We shall fight on them in Ryhope, we shall fight on them on Seaburn beach, we shall fight on Thompson Park and in the streets of Downhill, we shall fight in the hills of Tunstall; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the Mackem fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the new world, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."

Nice quotation from Winston. 👍🏻

Strange threads like these like. Seeing the odd top somewhere means fuck all, you’re always going to get the odd rival fan(s) living in a rival stronghold area because people move about more than they used to. They’re at home today so there’s more chance of the tops being out.

I saw a bloke walking down Sheriff Hill Gateshead down from the Travellers Rest in a Sunderland jacket the other day, judging by some comments on here that would mean that area of Gateshead is not a black and white stronghold when it most definitely is.

I was in Benidirm a few weeks ago and you have definitely lost there. Quite a few full kit mags and only one Mackem.
😁
