Any Sunderland strongholds left ?

I think there always appears to be more mags in certain areas because let’s be honest there’s no other set of supporters who walk about in their tops as much as they do. Every time I go out I see barcodes or just driving about theres always some knacker walking his dog in one

It’s amazing what money can do, imagine what it’s going to be like when they start winning stuff, enjoy the peace as it lasts because they won’t ever let people forget when it comes, the generations we could lose being outside the premer league, doesn’t bare thinking about. 😕

I have never thought of it that way but you are right!...it might change for the worse in the next 20 years or so unless you geordie safc supporting lot disown your errant offspring if they are lured to the dark side!In truth football is nearing a crossroads in the next few years as money always wins out in the end and i think this super league stuff will destroy the professional game eventually. The Fa and the fans will try to hold on to the traditions that made the game great in this country but i fear its a losing battle as its a global TV game with less say for individual countries and its simply a matter of when not if the mighty heed loppers play the pyongyang tigers in a made up derby for TV and who would not want to watch that.
Well I’ve just walked through Houghton and there’s loads of mags tops out. So that’s gone.
There was always a handful of mags in each of Houghton, Newbottle, Hetton, New Herrington, Shiney and Penshaw In 1970’s BUT the majority of normal people were
Sunderland and it will remain so.
