Full Back
Just got back last week. Spent 10 days there staying in one of the Universal hotels.
Family of 3 spent just shy of £3k on food and drinks plus Ubers to the Disney parks and nights out. It was bloody expensive mind - bog standard Italian type meal about £150. Drinks mostly $11/12 a pint so didn’t really have many heavy nights albeit I couldn’t be bothered anyway having spent the entire day walking in stifling heat and queuing for rides.
Started off politely tipping 10-15% but by the end only tipped if the server deserved it as some of the service was pretty abysmal.
Had the universal express pass through the hotel which was a godsend so never really had to queue. Disney was the opposite and queues absolutely huge. Ended up paying extra for the fast pass there so more money spent.
Universal do free water through their fizzy pop machines which was spot on and just paid the $10 per day for the unlimited pop for the boy.
All in all very good holiday which the boy loved but we won’t be going back in a hurry
