Football Insider say it's Mowbray.

This board becoming overrun with a bunch of sopping wet fannies. 50 years ago the blokes of this city were building ships and digging miles underground for coal, now their sons and grandsons are on here crying like bairns because we’ve appointed Tony Mowbray as manager.
No social media then.

You're right, and I'm one who is very critical. Just can't help but be bitterly disappointed with this. Just feels like the club has absolutely no ambition other than to keep ticking over.
I’ve said loads of times on here, I’d be very happy with mid table ticking over this season before we make a push for the premier league. We aren’t ready for promotion yet by a long chalk.

Mowbray had a slightly better win % over Neil at Preston. I think this is a very similar replacement.
I've nothing against Mowbray from a football perspective at all but I think it's a terrible appointment as he has slagged the club off at every opportunity for the last 20 years

Not his greatest fan but I actually think he will do a good job. Not many thought the snake would do a good job me included but he did, so it well prepared to give Mowbray a chance. Like many said he fits what we are doing and he has many links to the football world. Goodluck to him

Again as an outsider can I ask, as a newly promoted from Lg1 side, who you were expecting to get?
Alex Neil until late August, then Melton Mowbray. It's all part of our master plan. Melton switches to barn owl mode, to drive away the gulls, gives half time Punch & Judy shows to get the crowd going, gets the academy whipped into shape, then leaves to go back to West Brom who by then have rented out Steve Bruce as a houseboat on the Birmingham Canal, replacing him with Alex Neil who found a loophole in his contract with Stoke that entitled him to leave if his head wasn't polished to the refractive index (n=c/v) of glass & good old Pulis is back, more or less where he started. And so it goes, on and on, Ariston....

Kevin's ear!
