Football Insider say it's Mowbray.

Don't think its that bad in itself. Neil was a cheap unambitous nomark appointment and it worked out.
Think the problem isn't Mowbray but the downer that nothing changed with KLD there's no new dawn, ambition or ability to have ambition. Despite promotion and getting the 'third tier' excuse put to bed

Mowbray sort of guarantees that we will not go down again immediately. We could not say the same about some "exciting upcoming talent"

Safety first is OK by me after the past 4 years.
Be more than happy with this yes I wanted promotion under the traitor cause I thought he could achieve it

but Mogga definitely have us least mid table

Michut gone home the reason given was PSG added am extra clause at the last minute but do you think psg would be haggling looking at the price of oil.

They might be looking to cover their arses in case he does really well. Just because they’re wealthy, they’re going to try to get the best deal for themselves.

Finished 8th last season in the Championship, 6 points off the play offs.

Surely that's more than good enough for us this season!?
If we finished there I would be delighted -he’s vastly experienced in this league -and he’s watched our games recently so should be a small step ahead in that regard .He’s not coming in without a clue re the squad .

Did not realise it had been confirmed when writing my other post in the other thread.

Certainly not the worst appointment that you could have made but understand why some of you are underwhelmed - we were too. He does have some strengths, but he is not the type to get you up while it is unlikely he will take you down either.
Fancy outlining his strengths just for a bit of balance?

Pep.
After all, this is the massive Sunderland we're talking about.

If this is the way your average Sunderland fan goes on then they don't deserve someone of the calibre of Mowbray.

As ever there’s a dichotomy of opinion on here but as many as are opposed to Mowbray , others can see the logic in the move.

One thing is certain results will determine his popularity as it does with all managers.
