Tony Mowbray Rumour

I am not sure Neil was such a catch. He had been sacked from Preston after several mid season finishes. I was quite shocked that Stoke took him based off 6 good months here.
It does seem like a bit of a knee jerk reaction, AN was thrust into the limelight by coaching a massive club like Sunderland and everyone singing his praises.

Bank Holiday breakfast?

I wonder, does this mean his done deal with Mowbray isn't done any more. Was at the AOL on Saturday with Kyril and Bob to sign a deal until the end of the season, wasn't he?

At this rate he'll have "nailed it" again, having linked us with everyone.
Think Bob been sniffing something on this McInnes one. This morning Bob saying he personally put McInnes's name directly to Speakman!! 🙈

Considering the money received for having a manager poached pales into insignificance compared to what changes hands for players, the club would be better off focusing on the latter.

That's why it likely will be Mowbray as he's got a track record for doing that.

Manning's sides are very aggressive with their press mind...

Maybe he'd be a good fit then but with the added cost of his team, the cost of sacking our existing team and the question mark over him at championship level.

It's hilarious man. Mowbray was in until the end of the season according to him on Saturday. Can't even keep up with his own lies these days.

In possession I have concerns about his style and whether it's a good fit for us. I think our crowd responds better to a quicker, more direct style and if we can utilise our fans then it's a huge asset. The high press helps in that regard too mind.

Manning's football isn't as bad as some purist's who insist on passing for passing's sake. It has purpose and isn't ponderous like, say, Poyet's was at its worse here.

Personally think your reading a bit to much into the philosophy.

The head coach will be whoever they see fitting the structure, regardless of age

So we wouldn't take Klopp then?

And before you start, I'm only using him as an example as he's the wrong side of 50 as well
Fuck me. That’s twice someone mentioned Klopp. Don’t be so silly.

He was in his mid 40’s when appointed at Liverpool. They wouldn’t appoint him now. That’s the point.

If Klopp decided to leave Liverpool tomorrow are you suggesting due to his age clubs wouldn't be interested?

Barry and Manning are definitely being considered by the club. Article yesterday saying KLD wanted to go down the foreign coach route, could be twists and turns yet.
