I’m genuinely amazed that if it’s done the club put out a statement 20 mins ago saying they want to keep him. Doesn’t look good when it’s over within the hour…..better to say “he goes with our blessing, we have lots of options we are excited to explore and recruitment is underway”
You're amazed that our clubs PR department have got something wrong? Haway!

This.
If he’s gone today then he’s been on this for a while…at least last weekend.
Add to that, his missus lives there.

I just don’t like that he’s telling the players shit. It unsettles them. And it reeks of cheating.
Or he's being honest with lads he's close with that the offer wasn't good enough. This owner has earned zero benifits of the doubt given how we've been running off the pitch like a non league outfit.

This is a disaster. f***ing off at the first sign of a pay rise.

He was okay with the rolling contract, maybe we were not. We don't know yet. But I have a feeling he left the door open (to other clubs) and has complete belief in himself to do well. He did brilliantly here. But a rolling contract does suit both parties. Until it doesn't, as he held all the cards.

We probably can't Match Stoke's salry offer or the fact that he might be offered an old school managers job.

The players are saying he is leaving because of a poor contract the club offered him. You can bet they have heard that from the horses mouth.
What players?

He had a 12 month rolling contract. What difference would a longer one have made, other than potentially getting more compensation from Stoke?

A 3/5 year contract would probably have a 3/6 month notice period, so no real difference.

Who the hell will we get to replace him ? We definitely won’t go for a manager currently at another club as we won’t want to pay compensation.
This whole thing is an absolute shambles.
