AN Press conference - CANCELLED

Im not saying we can stop him but he doesn’t have to speak to them if he doesn’t want to. If he wants to, I think his position here is difficult.

I’ve mentioned a few of the logical reasons why he would want to speak to Stoke (contract, geography, control) but football is not a game of logic. As far as supporters here are concerned (quite rightly), contracted Sunderland managers shouldn’t be discussing terms with Stoke and then sauntering back into the dug out
Do we know if he's had talks with them?

Thats it like

Him going to talk to then 24 hours before we have a match is ridiculous.

It should be cancelled regardless for me.

Just not the type of presser we need before a big game tomorrow
Yeah there is no way it will go ahead. Club will probably issue a statement saying something wishy washy about ongoing talks

This

Said a fortnight ago we needed 5 in.

Looks like maybe 3 with 2 of them being kids

He also said he knows the score and transfers trickle down once the big clubs have made their moves?

If he’s off because he couldn’t remain patient (he’s been backed very well up to now) then he’s got something up with him.

What I don't get about the conference is SAFC went live at 9:00, so I'm assuming everyone at the club expected it to go ahead when they set up the cameras etc at 8:55...must've been moving quick
